Welcome to www.HACCAOmaha.org!
The Heating and Cooling Contractors Association
was formed in 1970 under the name of the Metropolitan
HVAC Association, Inc. (This is still the legal name
of the Association.)
Membership in the association (commonly referred to
as HACCA) consists of contractors, equipment manufacturers,
wholesalers, utilities and associate members.
HACCA holds regular dinner meetings the third Tuesday
of each month at Caniglia's Venice Inn September through
May. (No meeting in December.) The regular meetings
include a thirty minute social hour, sponsored by a
vendor member, dinner and a program. Programs include
such topics as equipment updates, community events,
political speakers, industry news and other content.
Dues for HACCA include one free meal at each general
membership meeting.
In April the Association sponsors a product show and
seminar where HACCA vendor members can display their
wares and have an opportunity to socialize with local
contractors. An annual golf outing is held each year
in Omaha in August and HACCA participates in the Lincoln
Association golf outing in May.
HACCA member contractors in 2004 represented 75.9%
of all fees and permits taken out.
The Association is managed by a paid President and
a ten member board of directors. Board meetings are
open to all members and are held on the second Tuesday
of each month.
HACCA develops and implements basic and intermediate
training programs for employees of member companies.
In 2005-2006 ten classes are scheduled. The Association
is also active in local and state governmental affairs
on issues that affect the industry or the membership.
The Association attempts to represent the industry
in a positive fashion and works to increase the professionalism
and respect for the industry.
